Meet the dedicated and passionate team behind Make A Change Elite Basketball Club. Our coaches are committed to helping young athletes develop their skills, both on and off the court. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and respect.

Head Coach/Lead Trainer
Darrin Hancock
Coach D is currently coaching our 15U-17U teams. Coach Hancock is a retired American professional basketball player, former University of Kansas, Garden City Community College and former McDonald's All-American. After college coach Hancock played professionally overseas for Maurienne basketball club in France. Coach Hancock was then drafted to the NBA where he played for the Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs. Coach Hancock also had stints in the CBA and USBL earning postseason MVP honors before ending his playing career. Coach Hancock has been coaching and training youth, college and pro players for the last 11+ years.

Club Director/Head Coach
Shawn Mack
Coach Mack is the Program Director as well as currently coaching our 12U-14U teams. Coach Mack graduated from East High school (KCMO) where he was a 4-year starter. Coach Mack has been coaching both middle school and high school boys' and girls' school and AAU teams for 15+ years. Coach Mack has helped guide multiple student athletes to continue their careers at the collegiate level. Coach Mack focuses on embracing the process of player development which entails the need to focus on fundamentals offensively as well as defensively. Coach Mack is a USA Basketball licensed coach.

Assistant Coach
Amiya Mack
Coach Amiya Mack attended Olathe North High School where she was a 3-year varsity player winning substate 3 years in a row. After high school Amiya attended Tabor College where she played 3 years of college basketball while making the Dean's list each year. Her senior year of college was spent as an assistant coach gaining valuable experience and knowledge from a very experience coaching staff. Amiya is graduating with a Major in secondary education and minor in coaching. Amiya brings firsthand knowledge of the game and a high basketball IQ that she shares with her players helping them become the best players and people they can be.
