What to expect from us
When joining our family, you can expect to receive high-level coaching with attention to detail. Our program offers two, two-hour practices per week, focusing on skill and fundamental development, as well as team concepts. 2 additional skills sessions per month focusing on individual development. Teams will play 2-3 tournaments per month. Younger teams may do league play as opposed to tournaments. Players will be placed on teams based on their skill level to insure proper development. Teams will be formed based on the tryouts for that season and will add players as needed. All team practices are currently held in the Olathe or Blue Valley school districts. Don't miss out on this opportunity to Make A Change in your game!
Player Expectations
Effort: Basketball players are expected to give their best effort at all times, whether it's during practice or in a game. They should listen to their coaches, communicate with their teammates, and always run from one drill to another. Attendance: Attendance is also crucial, with players expected to attend every practice, skills session and game. They should inform their coaches of any legitimate excuses beforehand and make every effort to attend every practice session. Players who cannot attend all practice sessions will not be considered for the starting lineup regardless of if the absence was communicated. Multiple missed practices could result in reduced playing time. Players are prohibited from playing for another Club Team in the same sport due to scheduling conflicts.
Behavior: In terms of behavior, players should show respect to coaches, parents, officials, teachers, teammates, fellow students, and opponents, and avoid using foul language or engaging in alcohol, tobacco, or drug use.
Parent Expectations
This is a code of conduct for parents of Make A Change Elite Basketball Club. To encourage and support the concepts and vision of the program. To remember that my child is playing for his or her development and enjoyment not mine. To make every reasonable effort to have your child attend all scheduled practices and games and fulfill their commitments to the team. To treat coaches, fellow parents, game officials, players and spectators with respect. TO handle any dissatisfaction with coaching or the organization, parents should contact their coach or the program director 24 hours after the situation arises. Please do not approach coaches during the games, at halftime or in a public setting. Most importantly to cheer for and support your child on their basketball journey.
Testimonials
“This is a great team and great coaches; they truly care about each individual player and work with them to improve areas of weakness. My son experienced a great deal of growth and improvement in his skills over the course of just one season”. Thank you for all you do!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for a wonderful season with you.
LJ has enjoyed your team and your training with him. He has learned so much from you and very ecstatic every time you coached him.
LJ has a lot more to learn and I know how you will guide him with all the fundamentals that is required and needs. You worked so great with all the boys, and I love how you made all of the boys feel. You are a great coach and a Leader!
I am very excited for the next season for LJ. I would not have it any other way, Coach. You are his favorite coach and will play for only you!
Thank you again!
